The just past Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega , who bows out of office today has said he will return to his lecturing job at the Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
Prof. Jega was the Vice-Chancellor of the university until his appointment as INEC chairman on June 30, 2010.
He is an alumnus of BUK, and he will resume teaching at the university after a successful five-year term in INEC.
He will be remembered for conducting one of the most peaceful general elections in Nigeria in 2015.
